Wondering about the adoption fee? We typically ask an adoption fee of $125/ kitten to cover some of our costs. We fix them ($100 at the low cost clinic), do rabies shots ($20 ) and two sets of dystemper shots ($35 each). We test them for fiv and leukemia (another $35), treat for fleas with bravecto (3 months of protection, $45/ dose) and also treat for worms and other parasites (another $20 or so) and that doesn’t count the costs for the vet visits to do all of those things. If you were to get a free cat somewhere and do all this for the animal, as you should to keep the cat healthy, it would cost you much more than our adoption fee.
